CareOne at Teaneck

The PT was excellent. We came here for the physical therapy and it was very good. The PT staff was attentive and empathetic. They were very good at what they do. Dennis was very accommodating and he helped out a lot. We liked the food. The nurses were good. Thank you for everything including getting my husband back on my feet after having had major back surgery.

This facility has demonstrated the epitome of neglect and incompetence. My family member, who was under their care, was subjected to appalling conditions. They were frequently left wet, hungry, and completely unattended. The staff exhibited a shocking lack of care and compassion. What's even more distressing is the reckless mixing of COVID-positive patients with those who were well. This dangerous oversight led to my loved one contracting the virus, which is utterly unacceptable. On top of that, she developed two pressure ulcers, damaging her previously flawless skin. This further highlights the facility's negligence and inability to provide basic care. I cannot emphasize enough the sheer disregard this place has shown towards its patients. If you value the well-being and safety of your loved ones, I strongly urge you to steer clear of this facility. They have proven time and again that they are incapable of providing the care and attention that vulnerable individuals deserve. A complete and utter disgrace!

Excellent physical and occupational therapy, attentive nurses & helpful CNA staff, excellent and sincerely concerned administrators, wonderful Glatt-Kosher food (the soups are to die for, and before I'm discharged, I'm determined to get the recipes for their soups), VERY accommodating kitchen staff, a well designed and incredibly clean facility that I highly recommend. FIVE stars (I'd give ten stars if I could) from me. A personal THANK YOU to my two terrific physical therapists Peter and Ngozi for their dedicated efforts to make me whole again thus independent and safe for me to go home, and a special thank you to the wonderful occupational therapist Ebony for her devoted attention to me and the other residents. Warm and devoted staff in physical/occupational therapies. In the photo I now can stand keeping my balance (with half of my right foot amputated) thanks to the fine work of Pete and Ngozi the physical therapists whom I'm flanked by and to whom I'm grateful to. I had a very positive experience here at Care One. All the employees from Nurses, Aides, Therapists, (Kevin was my therapist he was fantastic!), to the Maintenance people were so kind and attentive. Also, the cafeteria people were very accommodating and the food was very good. Having knee surgery in the near future will be back. Thank you for all your help.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😊

My father got over Covid and has now steadily declined at Care One Teaneck. No one can answer questions about why he is still there. Physical therapy said he can go home. We’ve set up home care without any assistance from Care One. His leg edema is now uncontrolled. Orders for ace wraps from a week ago seem to have been ignored. There is almost no opportunity for safe physical activity. He is sad and lonely. His confusion has worsened. A aide pulled my sister aside to say she told the nurse removing my dad’s wander guard was a bad idea, but when my sister asked the nurse, she was told my dad removed it himself and the nurse did not offer to provide a new one. He has Medicare so there is a guaranteed payor source. His care is substandard at the best and negligent and fraudulent at worst. It’s been 20 days and no one can give us an estimated discharge date, respond to requests for medical record release forms, or provide us with reason is continued stay is medically necessary. One night I called and asked for the charge nurse, since my family’s attempts to speak to an administrator in person during the day had been fruitless to that point, I was told there is no charge nurse at night on that floor. Every nurse has a patient case load and there is no administrator to even pretend to listen to and address concerns.
